As and outdoor product targeted to the youth, family and education market, Estes Industries majority of sales to the consumer market occur between Memorial Day and Labor Day.  The strongest retail holidays for outdoor products are Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day.  VWA identified a target market of families looking for exciting and educational opportunities during these holidays.  Utilizing a strategy of promotional discounts with and product focused marketing of unique rockets, VWA created a social campaign targeted the active holiday enthusiast.  The campaign ran for three weeks up the holiday and increased a year-over-year increase in sales over this period.
